Not quite everything you wanted to know about Miss McKeen:
I am thrilled to be teaching in NEISD! As a child, I attended Thousand Oaks Elementary School, Bradley Middle School, and MacArthur High School. Upon my graduation, I attended Texas A&M University in College Station, where I received my degree in Early Childhood Education. I immediately began teaching back in NEISD at Hidden Forest Elementary. After spending 8 years there, I left to open a daycare center for a church just outside of San Antonio, then moved on to teach Music at a nearby Christian School. I returned to teaching in NISD for 3 years, before being blessed to stay home with my family briefly. I was so excited to return to NEISD when I joined the Castle Hills Faculty in the Fall of 2013.
When I'm not at school, I stay busy chasing after my own 4 children! I love to read (I used to get in trouble as a kid for reading instead of doing chores :-D), play games, watch movies, ride bikes, sing at church (and in the car!), go hiking, cook, and do crafts with my kids. I live a busy life and am blessed in so many ways! I look forward to the blessing of getting to know your children this year!
